This special family history book follows the story of a young couple in their early twenties, making the long journey from Poland to Leeds with a young baby in the late 1880s, before finally settling in Edinburgh in the early 1900s. A result of over 8 years meticulous research and writing by Sarah Lewis, this 400 page book includes a variety of historical details, newspaper articles, maps and many archival records and documents.
The Inspiration
The powerful reason that's driven this project from start to finish, is that the author and researcher, Sarah Lewis is my mother, and the recipient is my beloved grandmother, Mary, whose 'flabber has never been so ghasted'
